The aluminum strip is a deeply processed product formed after aluminum coil slitting. It is an important raw material in industry.
Depending on the difference of alloy contained in the strip aluminum, our aluminum strips can be divided into eight major series. However, the commonly used series are 1000, 3000, 5000 and 8000. According to different annealed conditions, it can also be divided into full soft (O), semi-hard (H24) full hard (H18). The most common one is the full soft type, because it is easy to stretch and bend. Different grades and states can be selected according to different applications.
Grade: 1060, 1100, 3003, 3004, 5052, 8011.
State: O (Soft) and H (Hard), numbers can be followed behind to indicate the degree of hardness and annealing.
Aluminum strips and aluminum alloy strips have a wide scope of application, such as aluminum plastic composite pipe, electric cable, fiber optic cable, transformer, heater, shutter and more.
1060 type is used in occasions with high requirements on corrosion resistance and formability, but with low demands on strength. It is typically used in chemical equipment.
1100 type aluminum strips are used for processing parts that need good forming property and high corrosion resistance but do not require high strength. For example, they can be used to make chemical products, food storage containers, sheet machined parts, deep drawing or spinning hollowware, welding parts, heat exchangers, printing plates, nameplates, and reflective devices.
3004 type aluminum strips are mainly used for aluminum cans. They can be used to produce parts with higher requirements than the 3003 type, such as chemical products, sheet metal parts, construction baffles, cable ducts, sewer pipes, and various lighting components.
3003 type aluminum strips are mainly used to process components requiring good formability, high corrosion resistance, good weldability, or parts with higher strength than 1*** series while still meeting the above-mentioned requirements. For example, they have found use in liquid transport tank, pressure tank, storage device, heat exchanger, chemical equipment, aircraft fuel tank, oil duct, reflector, kitchen equipment, washing machine cylinder, rivet, and welding wire.
5052 type comes with good machinability, corrosion resistance, plasticity, fatigue strength and medium static strength. It is used in the manufacture of aircraft fuel tanks, oil tubes, sheet metal parts of transport vehicles and ships, instruments, light brackets, rivets, hardware, etc.
